Mapanbumi Bali Waisak Vegan Festival 2026

Organised by Mapanbumi Bali at Maha Vihara & Pusdiklat Buddha Maitreya Bali on Jalan Gunung Soputan in Denpasar, this Waisak (Vesak Day) celebration carries the theme 'Dharma Maintaining World Peace.' The two-day programme weaves together traditional Buddhist rituals (including a sacred Buddha statue bathing ceremony), a vegetarian and vegan food bazaar showcasing mushroom and vegetable-based cuisine, group yoga from 07:30 WITA on day two, blood donation drives, lion dance performances, colouring competitions for children, and health talks. Live performances by Balinese musician Gus Teja and Ayu Saraswati close the event. The culinary component is positioned to demonstrate that compassionate, plant-based living can be both enjoyable and delicious.
